As Thailand are preparing for the coming of ASEAN Community in 2015, I-EA-T, as a state enterprise under the Ministry of Industry, has to prepare itself to respond to opportunities and threats that may arise. Considering country and industrial factors that influences businesses such as labour costs, land limitation, and government policy in ASEAN connectivity; Thai entrepreneurs are enforced to adapt their businesses by switching or expanding their production bases to neighbour countries. I-EA-T realizes these dynamic reforms and believes that we can play an important role to foster Thai entrepreneurs doing business aboard by establishing a subsidiary company called I-EA-T International for developing and establishing Thais industrial estates aboard. I-EA-T International will act as a core mechanism to accommodate Thai entrepreneurs investing aboard by developing and establishing industrial estates in neighbour countries particularly in ASEAN and China. The company will be formed by I-EA-T and private companies as a holding company registered in Thailand who will then hold shares in companies investing in target countries, for example, Dawei in Myanmar and Kunming in China. These subsidiary companies that I-EA-T International has shares will construct industrial estates preparing for Thai investors to establish their own factories with in the area. The investors, from various industries, will be orderly and systematically clustered together with the assist of I-EA-T International for a complete beginning-to-end service solution such as land purchase and rental, application approval, and the issuance of certificate required for factory establishment etc.Core businesses of I-EA-T International are industrial estate development and industrial estate solution service which aim at medium and large entrepreneurs who looking for an area to establish factory aboard, and also industrial estate developers who planning to expand their businesses to other countries but have lack of knowledge on industrial estate development and management. According to our initial study, the target areas for the company to invest are ASEAN countries and China where Myanmar and China are in our preliminary plan whereas Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos and Indonesia are in the process of in-depth study for possibility and opportunity for investment. In Myanmar, I-EA-T International plan to invest in Dawei Industrial Estate Project area which will be logistically link to Namphu-Ron Logistics Park Project in Kanchanaburi. While, in China, the company intend to establish a Thais Logistics Park in Kunming where various transportation modes are link to Thailand such as road mode via R3A through Chiang Khong, Chiang Rai and railway mode via double-track trains through Nongkhai.Benefit 1. To business connectivity with Thailand as the company investment target areas are within ASEAN countries which connected to Thailand border industrial estates in the future plan. 2. To Thai entrepreneurs who desire to establish factory aboard but struggling to find an appropriate location as well as the complexity of investment process in each country.3. To expand business for I-EA-T strategically and financially. |
