จัดทำคาร์บอนฟุตพริ้นท์ขององค์กร ประจำปี 2559

Abstract

ปัจจุบันการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศและภาวะโลกร้อน (Global Warming) เป็นปัญหาที่ส่งผลกระทบต่อสังคมโลกอย่างรุนแรงและต่อเนื่องมากขึ้นเรื่อย ๆ มีสาเหตุจากการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกจากกิจกรรมต่าง ๆ ของมนุษย์ที่มากเกินไปสู่ชั้นบรรยากาศ ซึ่งการจัดทำคาร์บอนฟุตพริ้นท์องค์กร (Carbon Footprint for Organization) เป็นแนวคิดในการคำนวณปริมาณการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกจากกิจกรรมต่าง ๆ ของมนุษย์ เพื่อให้ทราบถึงปริมาณก๊าซเรือนกระจกที่ปล่อยออกมาทั้งทางตรงและทางอ้อม คำนวณให้อยู่ในหน่วย “คาร์บอนไดออกไซด์เทียบเท่า” (CO2 equivalent) ซึ่งทำให้ทราบว่าองค์กรนั้นปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกปริมาณเท่าใด นอกจากนี้ ยังทำให้ทราบถึงจุดที่ทำให้เกิดผลกระทบด้านภาวะโลกร้อนที่มากที่สุดในองค์กร ช่วยให้องค์กรสามารถกำหนดแนวทางการลดปริมาณการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกได้อย่างตรงจุดและมีประสิทธิภาพ บริษัท การบินกรุงเทพ จำกัด (มหาชน) ได้เล็งเห็นถึงความสำคัญของการพัฒนาระบบการจัดทำคาร์บอนฟุตพริ้นท์องค์กร โดยในครั้งนี้ได้ดำเนินการที่ 3 สนามบิน ได้แก่ สนามบินสมุย สนามบินสุโขทัย และสนามบินตราด ซึ่งการประเมินคาร์บอนฟุตพริ้นท์ขององค์กรนี้ สอดคล้องกับหลักการสำคัญ 5 ประการ ได้แก่ ความตรงประเด็น ความครบถ้วน ความไม่ขัดแย้ง ความถูกต้อง และความโปร่งใส รวมถึงการจัดการคุณภาพข้อมูลที่ดี ที่เป็นไปตามแนวทางการประเมินคาร์บอนฟุตพริ้นท์องค์กรของประเทศไทย สรุปผลการดำเนินงาน สนามบินของบริษัท การบินกรุงเทพ จำกัด (มหาชน) ได้แก่ สนามบินสมุย สนามบินสุโขทัย และสนามบินตราด ได้รับการทวนสอบการประเมินคาร์บอนฟุตพริ้นท์องค์กร โดยคณะผู้ทวนสอบจากศูนย์เทคโนโลยีและวัสดุแห่งชาติ (เอ็มเทค) มีระดับการรับรองแบบจำกัด (Limited assurance) ขอบเขตการประเมินเป็นแบบการควบคุมการดำเนินงาน (Operational Control) ซึ่งผลการทวนสอบคาร์บอนฟุตพริ้นท์องค์กรของบริษัท การบินกรุงเทพ จำกัด (มหาชน) ทั้ง 3 สนามบิน คือ ผ่าน การประเมินคาร์บอนฟุตพริ้นท์ สอดคล้องกับหลักการสำคัญ 5 ประการ มีการจัดการคุณภาพข้อมูลที่ดีและเป็นไปตามแนวทางการประเมินคาร์บอนฟุตพริ้นท์องค์กรของประเทศไทย

Climate change and global warming are drastic and continued problems that have tremendous impact on our planet today. The main cause is emission of excessive greenhouse gases, arising from human activities, that are released into the atmosphere. Carbon Footprint for Organization (CFO) is a concept that aims to curb these problems by calculating the amount of greenhouse gases released directly or indirectly from human activities, measured in unit of CO2 equivalent. Quantifying greenhouse gas emissions will help the organization to realize the amount of greenhouse gases that it emits, identify key emission sources and determine ways to accurately and effectively reduce carbon footprint. Bangkok Airways Public Company Limited realizes that it is most important to develop a system to measure the company’s carbon footprint applicable to its three airports - Samui Airport, Sukhothai Airport and Trat Airport – to assure consistency between assessment of CFO and the five key principles - Relevance, Completeness, Consistency, Accuracy and Transparency. The system also includes efficient management of high quality data in compliance with Thailand’s Assessment of Carbon Footprint for Organization. Conclusion The three airports of Bangkok Airways Public Company Limited had been assessed by National Metal and Material Technology (MTech), at Limited Assurance level, using Operational Control approach. The result of the assessment of Carbon Footprint for Organization is a PASS according to the five key principles, with efficient management of quality data in compliance with Thailand’s Assessment of Carbon Footprint for Organization.
