Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions (NAMAs) was first introduced in the “Bali Action Plan” in COP13 in 2008. There are two types of NAMAs: 1) Domestically Supported NAMAs and 2) Internationally supported NAMAs. Both need measurable, reportable and verifiable (MRV) processes to ensure the quantified emission reduction.
